Found this in Draft!

I can't figure out whether or not this ever got posted or not.  I found it in drafts.

I don't know if Liberians use at the term "fortnight", but in that amount of time I will be able to ask one of them. Today I was supposed to speak at a luncheon for ladies during their church missions focus, but it had to be cancelled, since the venue cancelled on them. Can you know something is filtered through the hands of a loving and sovereign God, and still be. Bit disappointed? I think so. The amount of unusually bad weather we've experienced this winter has reminded me to pray for weather on February 19 . I remember once missing a flight to South Africa due to thunder storms, but we got a flight the next day. This particular flight to Liberia only flies once a week.

I am also praying about and staying on top of the Visa application I submitted about a month ago. Because cultural expectations vary as much as they do, Barry and I thought we were covering all the bases. We even sent the original application by Fed Ex. That, however, was wasted money, since, we didn't know that they didn't accept checks or credit cards. I sent the money order, once again thinking I was fixed. But today I learned that they need the ACTUAL passport. I have Now express mailed that, and hoping that by the middle of next week I will have in my hand the Visa AND my passport returned.

I don't know if this ever got posted or not. It feels like a lifetime ago.
I continue to learn how to post, edit, the difference between uploading and downloading. Oh, for Jesse and Jonathan, my Apple store friends. Because of them u may someday get videos of this experienceA

On to another topic; I have learned so much in reading the President of Liberia's book, This Child Will Be Great. HER name is Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Her book besides teaching me about her country and it's historical link with the US, but I learned more about women's issues in Africa, a topic I have been exploring over a year now with 5 friends of mine from various countries in Africa. Hope when I add Liberian stories to their stories, my "talk"won't get too long. Ha!

Now I am reading another book about Liberia, The House At Sugar Beach. It is an autobiography, very well written about the Congo people (the name given to Americo-Liberians) When I hear about Korto Momolu, the Fashion Designer, I wonder how many other Liberians there are who've come to America and are now returning to give back to their country of origin.

The downside of planning a trip 4 months before you go and telling people about it is that They begin to ask you about how your trip was BEFORE you have left. That has happened twice this past week.

So please don't get weary and forget about me just as I need you the most. I'm counting on your posts. If you want private conversations, you can still email me at vvickery@gmail.com.

I hope you have a good fortnight. Maybe this is the last post until I leave, we'll see!

.
Maybe Jesse or Jonathan, my Apple store friends back home can help me figure out how to share videos I'm taking.
I just learned the difference between uploading and downloading.  I have a long way to go!
