Eleazar has various businesses in Ganta, having started them to give training and income so that the foster children can be cared for. So far, I think 3 or 4 of them have made it to university, and one has graduated!
The church we attended was Evangelical Christian Assembly. As we walked to church, Eleazar told me about the 100 acres the church has purchased so they can build a college to train leaders who are not necessarily university level students. That conversation led to my sharing the philosophy of EAFC. (for those of you not knowing about EAFC; check us out at www.eafc.net)
Eleazar was quite excited when he learned that their church's philosophy could work in partnership with EAFC. He called a leadership council meeting after church and let me tell them about the possible opportunities available. All who were there voted to write the office to ask for a letter of intent. I'll include a picture here of Abraham, a young man that Eleazar told me they have their eye on.
