"Late that day he said to them, "Let's go across to the other side." They took him in the boat as he was. Other boats came along, A huge storm came up. Waves poured into the boat, threatening to sink it."..........
"Awake now, he told the wind to pipe down and said to the sea, "Quiet! Settle down!" The wind ran out of breath, the sea became smooth as glass." Mark 4 again Be Still My Soul, The Lord is With Thee, Wait Patiently The storm in me at his command quieted, settled down. One word from Jesus was enough, and oh how thankful I am.
The next place the Word spoke to me was in Romans 4:5. Oh, this is good. "But if you see that the job is too big for you, that it's something only God can do, and you trust him to do it--you could never do it for yourself no matter how hard and long you worked---well that trusting him to do it is what gets you set right with God, by God. Sheer gift."
So, now you see God's process of healing me this time. I am the chapel speaker Monday and Tuesday. I wonder if any of this is what I am supposed to share with the students. hummmm!
I continue to pray for you and your family. I'm so enjoying reading and SEEING where you are and what God is up to. HE truly is the only One Who makes it all happen. I know chapel on Monday and Tuesday will be wonderful. I love you so,k
ReplyDeleteDid you really e-mail me at 2:56 AM? What are you doing awake at that time? Is your brain unable to rest? Well, as you are learning from your Scripture reading and when making the connections between what God is up to(chapel) and your opportunity (to teach chapel) will you not know what he wants you to share? I think you will. I love you.
ReplyDeleteYou know computers keep the time in HOME TIME, not Liberian time. It was about 10 or 11 AM here. Today, I didn't teach. YEAH! But I DID get to talk candidly with a few of my students who've wasted 2 weeks they could have been learning. They've gotten themselves in a mess and I want them prepared to turn a new page when I see them Monday. I told them to spread the word to all the others. I came here with an assignment of teaching 6 hours a week/ 2 courses. NOW I am teaching 18 hours a week.
ReplyDeleteSee what I mean?
Val I love it when you share what God teaches you in His Word. God does meet us there and He answers questions only He can answer. You will know just what to share in chapel-of that I am sure. God is so good.
ReplyDeleteI love you dearly and feel as if I'm in Africa with you as you serve Him and wait for His Word to you.
