Today, the group from Stepping Out Missions based in Ohio took me with them to the Inland Church. Remington, one of Public Relations AND Public Speaking students was the church leader today. He also was the translator for the pastor. All other parts of the church were conducted in English. This church had a choir, with robes just like mine back home
Laytopoe and Darlington were there too. Sebastian from Ivory Coast was our driver. He's a freshman here and speaks excellent English. After church, he stopped by house #2 where I'm living for my HUGE stack of 3X5 cards that I have kept since I studied for the GRE. Now, Sebastian is taking the challenge. Wow! Now, that's commitment to learning. "They" tell me he taught himself English in just a few months. I'll show his picture first (or I'll attempt to)
Sabastian's picture was inserted in the middle of the text. I'm so glad no one's ever asked me to teach the technical part of communications. ha!
Self "portrait" as I waited for the van to take me to church.
Church choir; wish I knew how to select videos for you to see.
Remington saw me as I snapped this picture. He got me back though when he asked me IMPROMPTU to lead "the pastoral prayer."
Darlington Gbah (you don't pronounce the G)
